Demon Slayer Game Plot
We know from the trailer that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles will draw its story largely from the anime series. But, it’s not just a broad sweep. It’s been released that it’ll be based on two existing story arcs, being Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve and the Mugen Train movie.
Naturally, you’ll play as Tanjiro Kamado as he sets out to find a way to make his sister human again. But, you won’t just be playing as Tanjiro. The Demon Slayer game gives you a whopping total of 18 playable characters to play with, and a percentage of that to work through the story with.
Who are the other playable characters? They’ll be members of the Demon Slayer Corps. Or, more specifically, the elite members known as the Hashira. That means we’ll get to experience their superhuman abilities and their Breathing Styles.
So, expect some major swordplay happening when these characters break out their Total Concentration Breathing. It’s going to be epic. Which brings us to…
Demon Slayer Game Gameplay
There are two modes to choose from in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles. On the one hand, you’ll have the story mode that we just mentioned, which will be largely about adventure, exploration, and a healthy bit of fighting.
But, the Demon Slayer game will also have a dedicated versus mode, where you can get straight into the fighting. This will match up characters in 2 on 2 fights, letting one or two players compete. You can either fight other players online or compete offline for some practice.

You’ll be able to play Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC, being available on Steam.

The Demon Slayer game releases in the UK on 15 October 2021.
