Mother’s Day is all about showing your mum exactly how much you appreciate her and how much she means to you. So, giving her the same gift basket and some wild flowers you picked out of a pavement crack aren’t going to cut it. Fortunately, we’re here to save the day with the Lost Universe Superwomen Awards!
We’re showing some real appreciation for the world’s amazing women this year with our Superwomen Awards. And, they’re the perfect opportunity to show your mum how you really feel about her.
But, what are they? Let’s take a look.
Lost Universe Superwomen Awards 2021
Since International Women’s Day (8 March) and Mother’s Day (14 March) are so close, we decided we’d use March to pay homage to the real-life superheroes of our planet – its amazing women.
We’ve created four categories that honour different types of women. We’ve given each one a pop culture spokesperson, and there’ll be one winner per category. The winner of each category will get a themed merch bundle worth over £100 plus a personalised prosecco glass.
So, if you’re looking to show your mum just how awesome you think she is, enter her into one of the Superwomen Awards’ categories!

Superwomen Awards Categories
So, as mentioned, we’ve based our categories on four fierce females from pop culture. Pick the one who’s the best representation of your mum, and let us know on our site. Your choices are:
1. The "Books! And Cleverness!" Award based on Hermione Granger
Hermione doesn’t try to hide her cleverness, even if it means being less popular. And, in being proud to be herself, she’s actually super cool.
This award is dedicated to the women out there who are completely comfortable being clever. Some have jobs that require some serious grey matter, some have read every book in the library, and some have quick wit that’s over the heads of pretty much everyone who’s not as tall as Hagrid.

2. The "You're A Wonder, Woman!" Award based on Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is super strong and doesn’t back down from a fight, even when the odds are against her. But, she’s also a symbol of sheer goodness, helped a lot by her Lasso of Truth.
This award is for all the women who have stood up against major adversity and come through it with smiles on their faces and unbreakable positivity.

3. The “Leia'dership” Award based on Princess Leia
Princess Leia could have sat around all day being fed space grapes and having her ladies in waiting come up with new pastry-inspired hairstyles. But, instead, she stood up against tyranny and became a beacon of leadership in the Rebel Alliance.
This award goes out to all the women who, like Leia, are great leaders. Maybe they are admirable bosses at work, maybe they help to better the community, or maybe they bring balance to the different Forces at home.

4. The “Minnie Magic” Award based on Minnie Mouse
Minnie Mouse just screams magic, lifting people’s spirits higher than her heels. She’s sweet, super cute, and seems to be able to make you feel amazing just by being around her.
This award goes out to the ladies who’ve made lasting impacts on other people’s lives. They inspire us to be the people we want to be and to go out and get the things we dream of. Now, that’s magical.

How to enter the Superwomen Awards 2021
If you want to prove to your mum that you think she’s awesome, pick the category that best suits her and enter her name.
As we mentioned, this isn’t just for Mother’s Day. It’s also for International Women’s Day. So you can choose any inspiring woman in your life to enter.
