That all sound good? Great! Let’s go…

Ms. Marvel Release Date

The Ms. Marvel release date is 8 June 2022 in the UK.

Like most other MCU shows, the Ms. Marvel TV show will consist of six episodes and will release weekly.

Sadly, unlike some other shows, like WandaVision and Hawkeye, we don’t get a batch release. So, we’ll just get the one episode on the 8th of June and then will get a single episode each week after that.

Aaaaaand, here's another Ms. Marvel trailer for you!

Ms. Marvel plot

Ever since Kamala Khan first debuted as Ms. Marvel in the comics, she’s been a fan favourite. Firstly, she’s got that whole teen-navigating-superherodom-and-school thing going on, which we know works well for Marvel fans.

But, in addition, Kamala smashed boundaries and brought some serious inclusion to the comics pages thanks to the fact that she’s a Muslim American with Pakistani roots.

Thirdly, and this is something that every comic and comic-movie lover can relate to, she’s a serious fan! Yep, we’ve all dreamed of getting superpowers like our heroes. Kamala just happens to have pulled it off.

So, that was Kamala Khan’s story in the comics. And, we can expect pretty much the same thing in the Disney Plus series.

Albeit with a few changes that had to be made to suit MCU continuity.

But, basically, it goes like this.

Kamala Khan is a serious superhero fan who loves gaming and writing fan fiction. She’s also obsessed with Captain Marvel and dreams of being like her.

Then, one day, it happens.

In the show we’ll see Kamala access the Inhuman DNA that lives silently in her body. She gets cosmic superpowers and inherits the Ms. Marvel name that used to belong to Carol Danvers before she got promoted to Captain Marvel.

But, that doesn’t change the fact that she still has a few more boundaries to overcome than Carol Danvers did.

Firstly, there’s school and all the pressures that go with it. Secondly, being a minority, there are always certain people who make life slightly harder because they’re having trouble getting their thinking out of the last few centuries. And, lastly, being young, it’s always harder to be taken seriously by adults. Just ask Spider-Man.

Kamala’s powers will be slightly different from what we’ve seen in the comics. So, don’t hope to see giant rubberised hands batting bad guys out of the way. But, we can say that there will still be giant hands… just, they’ll look a little different.

Ms. Marvel cast

So, first and foremost, Iman Vellani has been brought in as Ms. Marvel. Like Kamala Khan, Iman also has Pakistani roots, making her a brilliant choice for this role. And, from what we’ve seen, she’s got the acting skills to embody the super-hyped-fangirl personality that Kamala has in the comics.

We’ll also meet Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, Yasmeen Flatcher as Nakia Bahadir, and Rish Shah as Kamran, who is Kamala’s crush.

Also, within the Khan household, we’ll meet Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf Khan, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, and Aramis Knight as Kareem… also known as the Red Dagger!

They’ll all be joined by a cast of characters that promise to bring Ms. Marvel to the screen in epic fashion.
