Stranger Things 4 volume 2 was released on 1 July 2022, and will be available on Netflix from 8 am BST.

The structure of volume 2 will be different from volume 1. The first volume had 7 awesome episodes. But, Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 will have 2 episodes.
But, they’ll be 2 seriously amazing episodes. Because…
Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 episode length
While there are just 2 episodes in Stranger Things volume 2, the running time of each more than makes up for it.
The first episode in volume 2 has a running time of 85 minutes – a little under an hour and half.
The season finale, though, is a whopping 2.5 hours long!
So, grab enough drinks and snacks for a hefty watch, because some MCU movies don’t even run that long.

Volume 1 left us on a cliff-hanger. Eleven is reliving her traumatic face-off with 001 in an underground lab, Murray and Joyce have somewhat rescued Hop from prison in Russia, and, back in Hawkins, there’s a kink in Dustin’s rescue plan.
Robin and Eddie made it out of the Upside Down, but Nancy was sucked back in, seemingly being Vecna’s next target. And, while we didn’t expressly see it, we’re sure Steve went back in after her.
So, as the poster for season 4 teased, we have a split of four different locations, with characters spread out across them.
So, what will happen in volume 2?
Well, for starters, the trailer lets us know that everyone makes it out of the Upside Down? What sort of condition they’re in, we can’t say for sure.
But, their work is far from over. Vecna is still out there, and it’s on those Hawkins teens to do it.

Plus, Eddie has the added worry of the Hawkins PD and those basketball tools to deal with. So, that sucks for him. One thing that he has to look forward to, though, is his big stadium-style guitar solo on the roof on Vecna’s house. Why? We don’t know, but we can’t wait to find out.
Hop, Joyce, and Murray still need to make it out of Russia. And, by the looks of things, it’s not going to be easy. That is, unless Murray was using a flamethrower to do some fancy BBQ where they’ll sit down with the soldiers, grab some vodka, and let by-gones be by-gones. Not likely, though.
Plus, outside of the main action, there are several romances brewing. And, we’ll hopefully get some answers there.
In volume 1, Nancy seemed to be regretting choosing Jonathan over Steve. And, Steve seems like he’s still pretty into her. So, what will happen there?
It also seems like Max and Lucas are rekindling the flame, so will we see them reunite?
And, fans have been speculating that Will might have more than just friendly feelings towards Mike. This was somewhat confirmed by Finn Wolfhard (Mike) saying that Will’s feelings are shifting towards more of a “romantic affection.” So, let’s wait and see.
Will there be a Stranger Things 5?
With season 4 being so good, we could understand if the Duffer brothers wanted to go out on a high. But, they have gone on record saying that there will be a Stranger Things 5.
That, however, will be the final season of Stranger Things.
They have also mentioned a time jump owing to the fact that the kids are growing up faster than the plot timeline allows for.
The release date is yet to be confirmed. But, word on the street is that it’ll hit screens in 2024 at the earliest.
